Clicks Group is established in 1968 by Jack Goldin as a healthcare retailer. This year the first store was opened doors in Cape Town. In the Clicks Group’s portfolio are the brands: Clicks, The Body Shop, GNC and Musica, where the biggest market shares is holding Clicks with 18.3% share of the pharmaceutical market. In the year of establishment of the company, in South Africa there was a legislation, which disallowed corporate ownership of pharmacies. At that time Clicks worked as a drugstore, but without selling drugs until the year of 2003 when the legislation was changed. In the year of 2004 the first Click’s pharmacy opened doors. Firstly the company was operating under the name New Clicks and in 2009 changed its name to Clicks Group.
